Address Unknown
Address Unknown was an American goth rock project formed in Birmingham, Alabama in 2006 by Edward Schreiber (ex-End of Flowers). Other members were occasionally listed, though purely for aesthetic reasons; None of them actually contributed to the music. The project was formed in 2006, inspired by seeing Bauhaus in concert and the early records reflected a similar style of old-school goth.
Songs were uploaded to Myspace as they were completed, but a proper release didn't surface until 2008, with the mini-album Crucified, followed months later by the full-length Communion. Both were available digitally, while CD-R copies were given to a close circle of friends and fans. Trinity followed in 2009, flirting heavily with hard-edged goth rock in the vein of the Sisters' Vision Thing. Schreiber went back to basics for his next release, A New Kind of Drug EP and these ideas were further explored on the Before the Flood EP, released in 2010.
At this point, Edward felt he'd explored everything he wanted with Address Unknown, and so disbanded it. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
